Free, no ads, run for fun. Here are the few rules that keep it a nice place.

MellowTalk is a private, non-commercial hobby project, run by one person in Germany. It has no commercial purpose: no ads, no payments, no data sold.

These are the terms for using MellowTalk. By using it, you agree to them. They're short on purpose:

You're 18 or older.
Be decent. No harassment, threats, hate, sexual content, spam or scams, and nothing illegal.
Don't record anyone without their consent.
Be careful with personal details. Everyone you meet here is a stranger. See the safety tips.
You're a person, not a bot or a script.

You can skip, block or report anyone, anytime. Reporting someone also blocks them, and blocked people are never matched with you again.

Reports count automatically. People who get reported a lot wait longer to be matched with people nobody has reported. Only reports after random matches count, and reports from new accounts or from people who report a lot count less, so nobody can use reports to target a particular person.
How the people you talk to react adds up to a trust score: whether calls go on or they leave early, ratings, friend requests, call-backs, blocks and reports. What you do yourself, like skipping, never counts against you. It's being tested and doesn't affect matching yet. Later, people will tend to be matched with others whose score is similar.
Report only serious things: someone who seems under 18, threats, blackmail, sharing someone's personal details, explicit sexual acts, hate, or anything else illegal. For anyone just creepy or rude, a block is enough.
I read reports myself. Anyone who breaks these rules, and especially anyone who seems to be under 18, can be excluded from random matching for good, without notice.

In a call, or from your call history afterwards, tap Report. Reports come straight to me, and I look at every one.

MellowTalk is free and provided as is. I run it in my spare time, so it may sometimes be down, change, or shut down.
Calls connect directly between devices whenever possible, so the person you talk to can see your IP address. More in the privacy policy.
